Turbofan E27M2 Electric Convection Oven

The Turbofan E27M2 is a full size 2 tray manual electric convection oven from Moffat, the cheapest way into full size sheet pan baking in the Turbofan range. It takes 2 x 460mm x 660mm full size sheet pans or 2 x 400mm x 600mm trays with a generous 115mm spacing, driven by a bi-directional reversing fan for an even bake. A mechanical thermostat and 60 minute timer keep operation simple, and it comes with a 15A cordset fitted so there is no hardwiring.

Turbofan ovens are designed and manufactured by Moffat and backed by Moffat's Australia wide service and spare parts network. The E27M2 suits kitchens that bake on full size sheet pans but do not need the volume or digital controls of the E32D4, roast vegetables, pies, sausage rolls and trays of protein at a sharp price. Dual halogen lamps let you check the bake without opening the door. Bench mount it on the supplied stainless steel feet or pair it with the SK2731N or SK2731U stand. Two chrome plated oven racks are supplied.

The matching Turbofan SK2731U stand puts the E27M2 at the perfect working height and adds tray storage underneath, with 6 tray runners taking up to 6 full size sheet pans or 12 half size pans. All stainless steel welded frame on 76mm swivel castors with front dual swivel and wheel locks. Does the Turbofan E27M2 need special electrical installation?

No. The E27M2 comes with a 15A cordset fitted, so it plugs straight into a 15A outlet with no hardwiring and no dedicated circuit. If you only have standard 10A power points, an electrician can fit a 15A outlet quickly and cheaply. It is a rare thing, a full size sheet pan oven with no electrical work.

What trays does the Turbofan E27M2 take?

It holds 2 x 460mm x 660mm full size sheet pans or 2 x 400mm x 600mm trays with 115mm spacing between shelves. Two chrome plated oven racks are supplied, and the 2 position side racks are fully removable for cleaning.

What is the difference between the E27M2 and E32D4?

Both take full size sheet pans. The E27M2 holds 2 trays with manual controls and plugs into a 15A outlet. The E32D4 holds 4 trays, adds digital controls, programs and moisture injection, and is hardwired at 27A. If you bake full size trays a few times a day, the E27M2 does the job for thousands less. If you bake all day, get the E32D4.

Which stand suits the E27M2, the SK2731N or SK2731U?

Both fit the oven, the difference is the tray runners underneath. The SK2731U runners suit full size 460mm x 660mm sheet pans, the SK2731N runners suit 400mm x 600mm trays and GN 1/1 pans. Match the stand to whichever trays you bake on.

Does the E27M2 need to be under an exhaust hood?

No. At 3kW the E27M2 sits well under the 8kW limit for unhooded electric appliances in Australia, so it does not require an exhaust hood. Ventilation requirements can vary by council, so check your local regulations if unsure.

Can the E27M2 sit on a bench?

Yes. It comes with anti-skid adjustable stainless steel feet for bench mounting, or you can mount it on the SK2731N or SK2731U stand with castors and tray storage underneath.
