The Turbofan E23M3 is a compact 3 tray manual electric convection oven from Moffat, stepping up from the entry level E22M3 with a bi-directional reversing fan, 2.8kW of heating power and a taller chamber with 85mm tray spacing. It holds 3 half size sheet pans or 3 GN 2/3 pans in just 610mm of bench width, with a mechanical thermostat and 60 minute timer keeping operation simple. It comes with a 15A cordset fitted, so it plugs into a 15A outlet with no hardwiring.

Turbofan ovens are designed and manufactured by Moffat and backed by Moffat's Australia wide service and spare parts network. The E23M3 suits cafes and small kitchens that bake every day and want the more even results of a reversing fan without paying for digital controls. The drop down door doubles as a handy resting shelf when loading trays, and a halogen lamp lets you check the bake without opening the door. Bench mount it on the supplied stainless steel feet or pair it with the SK23 stainless steel stand. Three chrome plated oven racks are supplied.

Does the Turbofan E23M3 need special electrical installation?

No. The E23M3 comes with a 15A cordset fitted, so it plugs straight into a 15A outlet with no hardwiring and no dedicated circuit. If you only have standard 10A power points, an electrician can fit a 15A outlet quickly and cheaply, or look at the E22M3 which runs off a standard power point.

What trays does the Turbofan E23M3 take?

It holds 3 x 460mm x 330mm half size sheet pans or 3 x GN 2/3 pans with 85mm spacing between shelves. Three chrome plated oven racks are supplied, and the 3 position side racks are fully removable for cleaning.

What is the difference between the E22M3 and E23M3?

Same 610mm cabinet and same tray sizes. The E23M3 adds a bi-directional reversing fan for a more even bake, more heating power at 2.8kW, wider 85mm tray spacing in a taller chamber, a halogen oven lamp and an over-temperature safety cut-out. The trade off is it needs a 15A outlet where the E22M3 runs off a standard power point. If you bake every day, the fan alone is worth the step up.

Can the E23M3 sit on a bench?

Yes. It comes with anti-skid adjustable stainless steel feet for bench mounting, and at 610mm wide and 42.4kg it fits benches where bigger ovens will not. Or mount it on the SK23 stainless steel stand with castors and tray storage underneath.

Does the E23M3 need to be under an exhaust hood?

No. At 3kW the E23M3 sits well under the 8kW limit for unhooded electric appliances in Australia, so it does not require an exhaust hood. Ventilation requirements can vary by council, so check your local regulations if unsure.
