The Turbofan E23D3 is a compact 3 tray digital electric convection oven from Moffat, taking the E23M3 platform and adding digital controls, 20 programs with 3-stage cooking and steam injection. It holds 3 half size sheet pans or 3 GN 2/3 pans in just 610mm of bench width, with a bi-directional reversing fan for an even bake. It comes with a 15A cordset fitted, so it plugs into a 15A outlet with no hardwiring.

Turbofan ovens are designed and manufactured by Moffat and backed by Moffat's Australia wide service and spare parts network. The E23D3 is the smallest Turbofan with steam injection, making it a genuine little bakery oven for cafes doing croissants, pastry and crusty bread in tight spaces. The timer runs up to 999 minutes in count mode for holding and slow cooking. Bench mount it on the supplied stainless steel feet or pair it with the SK23 stainless steel stand. Three chrome plated oven racks are supplied.

Does the Turbofan E23D3 need special electrical installation?

No. The E23D3 comes with a 15A cordset fitted, so it plugs straight into a 15A outlet with no hardwiring and no dedicated circuit. If you only have standard 10A power points, an electrician can fit a 15A outlet quickly and cheaply.

Does the E23D3 have steam injection?

Yes. The E23D3 has a steam injection mode plus a manual injection key, unusual in an oven this size and this price. Connect it to a cold water supply via the optional 3/4" BSP male water connection and it will handle croissants, danishes and crusty bread properly.

What trays does the Turbofan E23D3 take?

It holds 3 x 460mm x 330mm half size sheet pans or 3 x GN 2/3 pans with 85mm spacing between shelves. Three chrome plated oven racks are supplied, and the 3 position side racks are fully removable for cleaning.

What is the difference between the E23M3 and E23D3?

Same 610mm cabinet, same trays, same bi-directional fan and same 15A cordset. The E23D3 swaps the mechanical thermostat for digital controls with 20 programs and 3-stage cooking, and adds steam injection and a 999 minute count up timer for holding and slow cooking. If you bake pastry or bread, the steam alone is worth the step up.

Does the E23D3 need to be under an exhaust hood?

No. At 3kW the E23D3 sits well under the 8kW limit for unhooded electric appliances in Australia, so it does not require an exhaust hood. Ventilation requirements can vary by council, so check your local regulations if unsure.

Can the E23D3 sit on a bench?

Yes. It comes with anti-skid adjustable stainless steel feet for bench mounting, and at 610mm wide and 42.4kg it fits benches where bigger ovens will not. Or mount it on the SK23 stainless steel stand with castors and tray storage underneath.
