Product Overview
The Turbofan E931M is a GN 1/1 electric convection oven and 4 element cooktop in one compact 675mm wide unit, essentially a 4 plate cooktop mounted on the proven Turbofan E31 oven body. The oven holds 4 x 1/1 GN pans with a grill mode for browning and finishing, while the cooktop runs two 2kW high speed elements up front and two 1.5kW at the rear on a one piece pressed stainless steel top. Mechanical controls throughout, nothing to learn and nothing to go wrong.
Turbofan ovens are designed and manufactured by Moffat and backed by Moffat's Australia wide service and spare parts network. The E931M suits small cafes, clubs and canteens replacing a tired electric range, or any kitchen that wants baking, roasting, grilling and boiling in 675mm of floor width. The oven plugs into a 15A outlet, the cooktop is hardwired on its own connection, and there are smarter wiring options covered below. Adjustable full stainless steel legs level it on any floor. Four chrome plated oven grids are supplied.
Best for: Small kitchens that want an oven and 4 element cooktop in one compact all-electric unit.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Turbofan E931M need special electrical installation?
Partly, and this is where the right advice saves you money. As supplied, the oven and cooktop have separate connections: the oven has a 15A cordset fitted that plugs into a 15A outlet, and the cooktop is hardwired for a 30A connection. But they do not have to stay separate. Because the oven and all four cooktop elements are never flat out at the same time, an electrician can wire both to a single supply using a standard 30% diversity calculation, 30A plus 13A less 30% comes back to around 30A total on one circuit. If your site has three phase, the oven can run on one phase and the cooktop on another, with diversity that is a 2 phase supply of around 22A per phase. And with phase splitting to the cooktop wiring bus, the whole unit can run on a 15A three phase supply, a solution most suppliers do not offer. Contact us to discuss your site's power setup before you order.
Does the E931M oven have a grill function?
Yes. A grill mode on the thermostat knob runs 2kW top elements for browning, gratinating, melting and finishing, so you get oven, grill and cooktop from the one unit.
What pans does the Turbofan E931M take?
The oven holds 4 x 1/1 GN Gastronorm pans with 80mm spacing between shelves. Four chrome plated oven grids are supplied, and the 4 position side racks are fully removable for cleaning. The cooktop takes standard pots and pans on four hot plates.
Does the E931M need to be under an exhaust hood?
Yes. With the cooktop and oven combined the E931M draws over 10kW, above the 8kW limit for unhooded electric appliances in Australia, and open cooktop cooking produces steam and grease vapour that needs extraction. Plan for an exhaust hood over it. Ventilation requirements vary by council, so confirm with your local regulations.
Why choose the E931M over a separate oven and cooktop?
Floor space and money. A 675mm footprint replaces what would otherwise be an oven plus a separate boiling top, and one stainless steel unit is easier to keep clean than two appliances pushed together. If you have the space and want more baking capacity, a Turbofan convection oven and separate cooktop gives you more flexibility.
What warranty comes with the Turbofan E931M?
24 months parts and labour, backed by Moffat's Australia wide service network.
