Product Overview
The Washtech M2-R is the polish-free pass through glasswasher built on the proven Washtech M2 platform. It combines the M2's touchscreen controls, high capacity 500mm rack system and consistent glass cleaning performance with Washtech's built-in reverse osmosis technology — delivering spot-free, streak-free glassware at full machine throughput without polishing. For high-volume bars, hotels and function venues where presentation standards are non-negotiable, the M2-R eliminates the polishing step entirely.
Best for: High-volume bars, hotels, stadiums and function venues running large quantities of glassware that require a polished, spot-free result without the labour cost of hand polishing.
How the Washtech M2-R cleans
The M2-R uses the same three-stage process as all Washtech pass-through machines — pre-wash recirculation, hot wash and hot rinse — but the final rinse water passes through a built-in reverse osmosis membrane that removes dissolved minerals before they contact the glassware. Without minerals in the rinse water there is nothing to dry onto the glass surface, so every glass comes out clear, dry and spot-free with no water marks or streaks. The result is consistently polished glassware at full machine throughput with no additional labour.
The 2.8 inch full-colour touchscreen control panel provides real-time temperature monitoring, custom cycle selection, chemical pump control and built-in diagnostics. Multi-cycle selection covers 1, 2 and 3 minute cycles. Eco power, soft start and self-cleaning cycle modes are included as standard.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the M2-R and the standard M2? The M2-R has a built-in reverse osmosis system that removes minerals from the final rinse water, delivering spot-free, polish-free results on all glassware. The standard M2 uses tap water for the final rinse and will leave mineral deposits on glasses in hard water areas. If your venue requires polished glassware the M2-R eliminates hand polishing entirely.
What is the difference between the M2-R and buying a standard M2 with a separate ROC unit? The M2-R has the reverse osmosis system built in. The Washtech ROC is a separate add-on unit that connects to any Washtech machine. For a new installation the M2-R is the cleaner solution. The ROC is better suited for retrofitting polish-free capability to an existing machine.
What power supply does the M2-R require? It runs on either 15 amp single phase or 15 amp 3 phase. On 3 phase the rinse heating steps up to 6 kW for faster cycle recovery. On-site 3 phase conversion is available if required.
Is the M2-R Watermark certified? Yes.
