Best for: Busy pubs, wine bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants.
New Generation Washtech GM
The new gen GM has plenty of improvements over the old version. It's still a workhorse, but now with a new, improved filter system. Gone is the old sump that was so hard to clean out of the wash and drain intakes, replaced by a wide wash and drain intake with an easy to remove basket. The stainless steel basket acts as a filter that can be taken out and washed clean in seconds.
Another improvement is hands free draining. The drain upstand has been removed completely, on the older model the plug often went missing and was commonly never put in place correctly, sitting high enough on the water line to stop the wash arm rotating. The old LCD display with its membrane has been replaced with an easy to read colour touchscreen display, using R&D from the dairy industry the display design is tried and trusted. The new rack adapter is designed to fit at a slight angle, letting racks sit tilted so any water pooling at the glass bottom runs off.
Can the Washtech GM be used as a dishwasher as well as a glasswasher?
Yes. The GM handles both glassware and light crockery, washing up to 960 glasses per hour, making it a versatile choice for small operations that need one machine to do both jobs.
What's in the box?
The GM comes with the glasswasher itself, a 450mm glass/cup rack, a 450mm dish rack, a cutlery container and 2 stainless steel water supply hoses, plus a user and maintenance guide, everything you need to get it running.
Does the Washtech GM need a specialist to install?
No. The GM is plug and play with everything needed supplied, no commissioning required out of the box.
Does it dispense chemicals?
Yes, the GM has built in detergent and rinse aid pumps. The dosage is adjusted via the touchscreen controls. At the back of the machine you'll find 2 tubes, coiled and tied, the clear tube is marked detergent and the blue tube is marked rinse aid. Both tubes are weighted and fitted with a filter.
What rack size does the Washtech GM use?
The GM's rack adaptor takes any rack 450mm x 450mm and under.
Is the Washtech GM WaterMark certified?
Yes. WaterMark certified and compliant with health regulations in all Australian states.
How much does it cost to run?
At 2.2 litres per cycle, the GM uses significantly less water than most competitors. Combined with the preheated rinse water system, most operations see the GM pay for itself in water and energy savings within 12 months compared to older or non-recirculating machines.
