Blue Seal E43 Electric Fryer 450mm

The Blue Seal E43 is a high performance 450mm single pan electric fryer.

Three 5.66kW stainless steel heating elements sit in the oil for 17kW of frying power and up to 31kg an hour from the 27 litre open pan. The elements hinge out and are counterbalanced, so they lift clear of the pan for an easy clean, and a large cool zone lets crumbs settle below the elements to keep the oil clean and lasting longer.

Because the E43 heats the oil directly with immersed elements, it recovers temperature fast between baskets. An element tilt switch cuts the heat when the elements are lifted, and a fail-safe over-temperature cut-out and power and heating indicator lights are built in.

Blue Seal Evolution Series is made by Moffat. The E43 runs on 415V three phase power, so an electrician makes the final connection. There is no gas, flue or conversion to deal with, which suits sites without a gas supply. The stainless steel pan carries a 10 year limited warranty.

Best for: kitchens without a gas supply, or sites that prefer electric, that want fast recovery and an easy clean hinge out element fryer.

Is the E43 gas or electric?

Electric. It has three immersed stainless steel elements totalling 17kW and runs on 415V three phase power, so there is no gas connection, flue or gas conversion. An electrician makes the final connection.

How do you clean it?

The heating elements hinge out of the pan and are counterbalanced, so they lift clear for easy cleaning of the open pan. A tilt switch cuts the power to the elements when they are raised, and the pan drains through the 32mm drain valve.

How much power does the E43 need?

The E43 draws 17kW across 415V three phase, roughly 23.6A per phase, so it needs a suitable three phase supply and is hardwired by an electrician rather than plugged in.
