Each oven uses twin bi-directional reversing fans to move heat evenly through the vitreous enamel chamber, with dual halogen lamps so you can see inside while it's running. The electronic thermostat runs 50 to 260°C, and the timer either counts down from up to 180 minutes or counts up to 999 minutes for holding and slow cooking. Each oven also has a built in over-temperature safety cut-out.
Each oven has its own digital display, with individual time and temperature knobs, so they run completely independently. You can work in manual mode or step through one of 20 stored programs with up to 3 cooking stages and stage end alarms. Water injection adds humidity for baking, useful for things like bread, though it's a feature most kitchens skip. Neither oven comes with a plug. Each one needs to be hardwired in on its own circuit by a licensed electrician.
The E28D4/2 doesn't arrive already stacked. It ships as two individual E28D4 ovens plus a stacking kit that goes together on site, using adjustable feet on this model. If you'd rather have it on castors instead, the E28D4/2C uses the same two ovens with a castor stacking kit.
Like the rest of our Moffat range, the E28D4/2 is made in New Zealand.
Does the E28D4/2 arrive already stacked?
No. It comes as two separate E28D4 ovens plus a stacking kit, and goes together on site.
Can I run the top and bottom oven with different programs?
Yes. Each oven has its own digital display and controls, so they run completely independently of each other.
Does this oven come with a power cord?
No. Each oven needs to be hardwired in separately by a licensed electrician, on its own circuit.
Do I need to connect water to use this oven?
No. The 3/4 inch connection is only for the water injection function, which adds humidity for baking. Most people never connect it and run the oven as a standard convection oven.
