Specifications from the Moffat Australia Washtech CD180 spec sheet (PDF download).
The Washtech CD180 is a 3 stage rack conveyor dishwasher that washes up to 180 racks, or 3,240 plates, an hour. Racks feed through a 600mm pre-wash module with a 1.5HP pump, a 1200mm wash module with a 2.0HP pump and a single stage final rinse, so staff load and unload without stopping the machine. It uses 240L of hot water an hour, has an auto-start that idles it between rushes and runs on 415V three phase. $35,880 ex GST. Made in New Zealand by Washtech, distributed and serviced in Australia by Moffat.
Best for: Hospitals, aged care, universities, clubs and function centres that need more than 120 racks an hour, with a pre-wash to handle heavy soil at speed.
Washtech CD180 overview
The CD180 is the CD120 with a 600mm pre-wash module in front. The pre-wash has its own 1.5HP pump and takes the bulk of the soil off before the main wash, so the conveyor can run at 180 racks an hour and the wash water stays cleaner for longer. If you need more again, the Washtech CD240 adds an eco-rinse.
How the Washtech CD180 cleans
The 1200mm single tank wash module runs a 2.0HP wash pump through removable upper and lower stainless steel wash arm cassettes. A 600mm pre-wash module with a 1.5HP pump goes ahead of it. A single stage final rinse sanitises each rack on the way out. Full width stainless steel filter trays catch the scraps and pull out for cleaning.
Which Washtech conveyor do I need?
All three take 500mm racks on the same drive and wash module. The difference is the stages in front of and behind the wash.

Frequently asked questions
Who makes the Washtech CD180?
Washtech, in New Zealand. Washtech says the company started in 1981 as Wash Systems Limited, building its first undercounter dishwasher in a single car garage, and is now the largest manufacturer of professional dishwashing equipment in Australasia. Moffat distributes and services Washtech in Australia.
How many racks an hour does the CD180 do?
Up to 180 racks an hour, which is 3,240 plates an hour in 500mm racks. Staff load at one end and unload at the other without stopping the machine, so it holds that rate through a busy service.
How does a rack conveyor dishwasher work?
Racks load onto the conveyor at one end and a powered drive pulls them through the pre-wash, wash and final rinse and out the other end. The drive has a safety clutch, and the auto-start idles the machine if no racks are going through, so it is not running for nothing between rushes.
What is the difference between the CD120, CD180 and CD240?
They step up in stages and throughput. The Washtech CD120 is 2 stage, wash and final rinse, at 120 racks an hour. The CD180 adds a 600mm pre-wash for 180 racks an hour. The Washtech CD240 adds a 600mm eco-rinse as well for 240 racks an hour, and uses less water than the other two. Pick the model to match your peak rack volume, and call us if you are between sizes.
Does the Washtech CD180 need an exhaust canopy?
Plan for a canopy over it. Washtech gives a typical minimum extraction of 170L/sec, but it varies by site, so your ventilation engineer sets the final figure. If a canopy is not an option, Washtech makes a heat recovery version of the CD180. Call us on 0412 034948 for the price and details before you decide.
What does the pre-wash stage do on the CD180?
The 600mm pre-wash module has its own 1.5HP pump and strips the bulk of the food off before the rack reaches the main wash. That keeps the main wash water cleaner for longer and lets the conveyor run faster without losing wash quality.
What power does the CD180 require?
415V three phase, 27A per phase, 18.0kW, hardwired with no lead or plug. This is not a single phase machine. Your electrician makes the connection, and the switch must be within 1m of the machine and not directly behind it.
What water supply does the Washtech CD180 need?
Hot water at 65°C through a 3/4 inch male connection, hose supplied, at 250 to 350kPa and 20 litres a minute, with dual check valve backflow prevention. It uses about 240L an hour, depending on your site.
What drain does the CD180 need?
A 1.5 inch BSP male waste connection to a drain line of 50mm minimum.
How much room does the CD180 need?
It is 2100mm long, 765mm deep and 1455mm high, plus your load and unload benches at each end. Send us your plan and we will check the run with you.
Are the controls on the CD180 hard to use?
No. The conveyor uses Washtech hybrid controls, built to be easy to run and easy to maintain. The wash arm cassettes and rinse arms lift out, and the full width stainless steel filter trays pull out for cleaning at the end of the day.
What comes with the Washtech CD180?
The machine, two 500mm dish racks (600 70028), two 500mm cup racks (600 70029), two cutlery containers (C660503) and a cutlery basket (C660508). There is no lead or plug, as it is hardwired.
How big is the Washtech CD180 packed?
Packed it is 2300mm long, 1000mm deep and 1950mm high, and weighs 350kg. Check your doorways, corridors and any stairs before delivery day.
How much is delivery on the Washtech CD180?
Use the Freight Cost Guide button on this page for the exact price to your postcode, including whether a tailgate is needed. On a machine this size, call us and we will confirm access before it ships.
Is the Washtech CD180 WaterMark approved?
