Product Overview
Washtech GL Compact Polish Free Glasswasher
The Washtech GL is a fully insulated, polish free compatible undercounter glasswasher built for venues where rinse aid residue on glasses isn't acceptable, like bars pouring draught beer or serving champagne by the glass. It runs up to 960 glasses an hour across three wash cycles, with full thermal and acoustic insulation and a soft close door that keeps noise down on a busy bar. An assured rinse system with break tank and booster pump backs up the polish free result.
Like the GM-R, the GL needs a reverse osmosis (RO) system to actually deliver polish free glasses. It's built with the internals to handle RO-treated water, but doesn't produce that water itself. The Bestaqua BA14-DW14 RO system is the compatible option and needs to be added separately for polish free operation.
What sets the GL apart is the optional switchable inlet kit. Rather than being locked into RO-only running, it lets the machine toggle between polish free mode on cold RO water and a standard high-capacity mode on regular hot water feed, useful if a venue wants the flexibility to run either way depending on the wash. Standard power is 240V 15A, field convertible up to 415V three phase for faster rinse recovery when running cold. Washtech glasswashers are manufactured in New Zealand and distributed in Australia by Moffat, backed by the 5-2-2 warranty: 5 years on the cabinet, 2 years on the wash pump, and 2 years comprehensive parts and labour.
Best for: Bars and venues wanting polish free glasses with the flexibility to switch to standard hot water running when needed, or where a quieter, fully insulated unit matters.

Does the GL deliver polish free glasses on its own?
No. It's built to handle RO-treated water and has the internals (break tank, booster pump) to run polish free, but it doesn't treat the water itself. You need to add a reverse osmosis system, the compatible option here is the Bestaqua BA14-DW14, for the GL to actually run polish free.
What does the switchable inlet kit do?
It's an optional upgrade that lets the GL toggle between two modes: polish free running on cold RO water, or a standard high-capacity mode on regular hot water feed. That gives you the option to run it either way depending on what you're washing, rather than being locked to RO only.
Is the GL available in black?
Yes, as the GL-B, in mirror or matte black stainless steel. See the product options for current pricing.
Does it need hot or cold water?
It runs across a 20-65°C range, so either works, but cold is recommended when paired with an RO system, since RO-treated water comes through cold rather than heated.
Do I need an electrician for the power upgrade?
Yes. The standard 240V 15A setup doesn't need anything special, but stepping up to 240V 25A or 415V three phase for faster rinse recovery needs a licensed electrician.
