The Blue Seal G57-B is a gas target top built to sit on your own bench or existing stand. It runs a 45MJ dual ring cast iron burner with a removable centre ring, so you can drop a stockpot straight onto the flame or keep the full cast plate for general cooking. Made in New Zealand by Moffat.

The burner sits in a 50mm thick refractory brick lined box, which holds heat well and protects the burner itself. Full pilot and flame failure protection is standard, with a single knob handling both burner output and pilot ignition, dialled from low right up to full 45MJ output. Take the centre ring out and you get direct flame contact for stockpots, paella pans and other round bottomed cookware, the ring is 280mm across. Leave it in and you've got a solid 900 x 625mm cast iron cooking surface.

The top itself is a 3 piece heavy duty cast iron casting with a fully machined surface, so it sits flush if you're running it in a suite with other cooktop units. The bench model sits on four adjustable stainless steel feet, so it sits level no matter what surface it's going on.

This model runs on either natural gas or LPG, just let us know which when you order. Like all Moffat gas equipment except fryers, a gas regulator is supplied with the G57-B, but it is not pre-fitted, your licensed gas fitter fits it as part of installation. A gas type conversion kit is included as standard, so you're covered if you ever need to switch.

Can I run this on LPG instead of natural gas?

Yes. The G57-B is available in either gas type, just let us know which when you order. A conversion kit is included as standard if you ever need to switch.

Does the gas regulator come fitted?

No. Like all Moffat gas equipment except fryers, the regulator is supplied loose, not pre-fitted. Your licensed gas fitter fits it during installation.

Can I put a stockpot directly on the flame?

Yes. Lift out the removable centre ring and you get direct flame contact, ideal for stockpots and round bottomed pans. Put the ring back in and you've got the full flat cooking surface.
