Product Overview

The Washtech XP is the market leading economy pass through dishwasher. It washes up to 1080 dishes an hour on 60, 120 or 180 second cycles, has a generous 430mm wash chamber that clears tall items, and connects to hot water. Simple Washtech hybrid controls keep it reliable and low cost to run and repair, and it fits the two most common Australian bench gaps at 595mm and 640mm.

Unlike the professional M2, the XP rinses on mains water pressure, so there is no booster pump or break tank to install or maintain, which keeps the price and the running cost down. It can be wired single phase or three phase, and on three phase the circuit size per phase is smaller. An easy change to a higher power mode gives rapid rinse recovery where the site needs it.

Washtech is made in New Zealand and distributed in Australia by Moffat.

Best for: cafes, restaurants and clubs that want a reliable passthrough at the lowest cost, without the professional controls of the M2.

Does the XP need an exhaust hood?

Not on the standard 15A setup in a well ventilated space. If you switch to the higher power mode, ventilation should be considered for the install. If a hood is not an option at all, the M2C adds a condenser and needs no hood in any configuration.

Can the XP run on single phase or three phase?

Both. The XP can be wired single phase at 15A or 25A, or three phase at 15A per phase. Three phase spreads the load so the circuit size per phase is smaller, which suits sites that already have three phase available.

How does the XP compare to the M2?

The XP is the economy machine with simple hybrid controls and a mains pressure rinse. The M2 is the professional step up, adding a touchscreen, EcoPower idle management and an assured rinse with a booster pump that holds a set rinse temperature regardless of mains pressure. Choose the XP for lowest cost, the M2 for professional controls and a guaranteed rinse.

What is the higher power mode?

The XP has an easy change to a higher power, rapid rinse recovery mode. It lifts the rinse heating so the machine keeps up during long busy runs, useful on sites with high back to back demand.

What clearance does it need?

Allow 300mm at the front for service access. For corner installs the machine must face left for access to the controls, and any splashback return should be no higher than 150mm.
