Product Overview
The Washtech AL is a high capacity pass through dishwasher that washes up to 1980 plates an hour, the fastest in the Washtech passthrough range. It runs 40, 60 and 90 second cycles, takes 600 x 500mm racks holding 5 GN pans or up to 22 plates, and drives them with a powerful 1.5HP soft start wash pump. It connects to hot water and uses an insulated front hood, and an exhaust canopy is required over the machine.
Washtech is made in New Zealand and distributed in Australia by Moffat, and the AL carries the Washtech 5-2-2 promise: 5 years on the cabinet, 2 years on the wash pump and 2 years comprehensive parts and labour. It runs on 415V three phase power, so an electrician makes the final connection. The water and chemical hoses are supplied in the plumbing connection kit.
Best for: high volume kitchens with hot water and a hood already in place that need to move racks fast.

Does the AL need an exhaust hood?
Yes. The AL is a standard hot water passthrough with an insulated front hood, so an exhaust canopy is required over the machine to clear the steam. If you cannot fit a hood, look at the ALC instead, which adds a heat recovery unit and needs no canopy.
Does it need an electrician and a plumber?
An electrician will be required. The AL runs on 415V three phase power at 15A per phase, so it is hardwired rather than plugged in, and a nearby isolating switch is recommended. The water and chemical hoses come in the supplied plumbing connection kit, and the drain hose just needs connecting to a spigot near by.
What is the difference between the AL and the ALC?
They share the same high capacity body and 1.5HP pump. The AL connects to hot water and needs an exhaust hood. The ALC adds a heat recovery unit on top that captures the steam, so it connects to cold water and needs no hood at all. Choose the AL if you already have hot water and a hood, and the ALC if a hood is difficult or expensive to install.
How fast is it?
It runs 40, 60 and 90 second cycles and washes up to 1980 plates an hour at the fastest cycle, which makes it the highest capacity passthrough in the range and suited to busy, high turnover kitchens.
What clearance does it need?
Allow 300mm at the front for service access. For corner installs, the machine should sit so racks push into the back, and any splashback return should be no higher than 150mm. The touchscreen bracket lets you mount the controls on either side, under bench or on the wall.
