Cobra CP4 450mm Gas Pasta Cooker

The Cobra CP4 is a 450mm single pan gas pasta cooker, with a 40 litre stainless steel pan, six baskets included, and a patented infra-red burner for fast, even heat.

A single infra-red burner heats the water directly through the pan, with variable control from high boil down to a standby simmer. A millivolt gas valve runs the whole system with no electrical supply needed, with flame failure protection and piezo ignition to the standing pilot burner. A pan protection safety cut-out thermostat protects the unit if the pan ever runs dry.

Six stainless steel baskets with moulded handles are included as standard, sitting on a stainless steel wire support grid, with a hinged basket drain stand incorporated. An integrated water faucet fills the pan and doubles as a starch skimming tap, with a drain valve for a full pan change between services.

The CP4 sits on adjustable front feet with rear rollers as standard, so it can be tilted and rolled out for cleaning behind and underneath. Like all Moffat gas equipment except fryers, a gas regulator is supplied with the CP4, but it is not pre-fitted, your licensed gas fitter fits it as part of installation. Cobra is made by Moffat in New Zealand.

Does the CP4 need power to run?

No. It runs on a millivolt gas valve system, so no electrical supply is needed to operate the burner or pilot.
