A 90MJ multi jet target burner heats an 18 litre open pan to fry up to 25kg an hour, and the open pan with a cool zone lets crumbs settle below the burner to keep the oil clean and lasting longer. Simple mechanical controls make it easy to run and cheap to maintain.
Cobra is made by Moffat. The CF2 runs on natural gas or LPG, so a licensed gas fitter makes the connection. Like all Moffat gas fryers, it has a gas regulator built in, so a separate regulator is not required and should not be fitted, since an extra regulator becomes a point of failure. The CF2 is supplied set to the gas type you order, so specify natural gas or LPG. A gas conversion kit is available as an extra if you need to change gas type later.
Best for: cafes, takeaways and smaller kitchens that want a reliable single pan fryer in a narrow 400mm space.
Does the CF2 need a gas fitter?
Yes. It connects to natural gas or LPG through an R ¾″ BSP male fitting, so a licensed gas fitter makes the connection.
Does the CF2 need a separate gas regulator?
No, and one should not be fitted. Like all Moffat gas fryers, the CF2 has a gas regulator built in, so it connects straight to the gas supply. Adding a second regulator in the line is unnecessary and becomes a point of failure, so the gas fitter should connect it without one.
Does the CF2 come with a gas conversion kit?
The CF2 is supplied set to the gas type you order. A gas conversion kit is available as an extra if you need to switch between natural gas and LPG later, so specify your gas type when ordering and add the kit if you want the flexibility.
What is the cool zone for?
The open pan has a cool zone below the burner where crumbs and batter settle away from the heat. That stops them burning and fouling the oil, so the oil stays cleaner and lasts longer, and the pan is easy to drain and clean through the 30mm drain valve.
