The Convotherm CXEBT6.10D is a maxx pro combi oven with 7 tray capacity at full 1/1 GN depth, made in Germany. Steam comes from a high-performance boiler outside the cooking chamber, and every setting runs to 5 levels for finer control over moisture, baking and fan speed. The D in the model name means it has a disappearing door, which fully opens and slides down the right hand side of the oven, clearing the doorway completely for loading in tight kitchens.

The 6.10D suits busier kitchens that want the finer control and bigger 10" touch screen of the maxx pro range, plus TrayView, Regenerate+ and the disappearing door for easier tray access where floor space is tight.

What does CXEBT6.10D mean?

CX is the maxx pro range. E is electric (G is gas). BT is the easyTouch interface (BD is easyDial). 6 is the tray count, 10 means full size GN 1/1 trays feeding in front to back. D means disappearing door.

What is a disappearing door?

The door fully opens and slides down the right hand side of the oven cabinet, clearing the doorway completely rather than swinging open in front of the unit. It's a genuine help in tight kitchens where a standard swing door would get in the way of loading trolleys or standing room.

Does the CXEBT6.10D need a hood?

Yes. Combi ovens release steam when the door opens, so an extraction hood is required regardless of the kW rating. Ventilation requirements can vary by council, so check your local regulations if unsure.

Is it plug-in or hardwired?

Hardwired. The 6.10D draws 15.9A on a 400V three phase supply and needs an electrician to connect it.

What's the difference between maxx pro and the standard maxx range?

The maxx pro is made in Germany with a boiler generating steam, 5-level control over moisture, baking and fan speed, a bigger 10" touch screen, TrayView, Regenerate+ and the option of a disappearing door. If you're running high volumes and want the extra control, maxx pro is worth the step up.
