Product Overview

The Washtech CD120 is a rack conveyor dishwasher built for high volume. It is a 2 stage machine: racks feed onto a powered conveyor and move through a wash stage, then a sanitising rinse stage, before coming out the other end, so staff load and unload without stopping the machine. It clears up to 120 racks or 2160 plates an hour through a 1200mm single tank wash module with a 2.0HP wash pump. An auto start idles the machine when no racks are passing through, so it only runs when it is working.

Washtech is made in New Zealand and distributed in Australia by Moffat, and the CD120 carries the Washtech 5-2-2 promise: 5 years on the cabinet, 2 years on the wash pump and 2 years comprehensive parts and labour. It runs on 415V three phase power, so an electrician makes the final connection, and it needs an exhaust canopy over the machine. A condenser, or heat recovery, version is available if an exhaust is not possible.

Best for: high volume kitchens, function centres and institutions that push large rack volumes and need continuous throughput.

Does the CD120 need an exhaust canopy?

Yes. A rack conveyor pushes a lot of steam, so an exhaust canopy is required over the machine, with a typical minimum extraction of 170L/sec. If an exhaust is not possible on your site, a condenser version is available that captures the steam, ask us about the heat recovery option.

Does it need an electrician and a plumber?

Both. The CD120 runs on 415V three phase power at 25A per phase, so an electrician hardwires it and the isolating switch sits within 1m of the machine. It connects to hot water and drains through a 1.5″ BSP connection to a 50mm minimum drain line, so a plumber sets up the water and waste.

How does the conveyor work?

Racks load onto the conveyor at one end and are drawn through the wash and rinse automatically, then out the other end. Staff keep loading and unloading without stopping the machine, which is what lets it hold a steady 120 racks an hour. An auto start idles the machine when no racks are passing, so it is not heating and running for nothing.

What is the difference between the CD120, CD180 and CD240?

They step up in stages and throughput. The CD120 is 2 stage: wash then rinse, at 120 racks an hour. The CD180 is 3 stage: pre-wash, wash then rinse, at 180 racks an hour. The CD240 is 4 stage: pre-wash, wash, pre-rinse then rinse, at 240 racks an hour. More stages give a better result at higher speed, so choose the model to match your peak rack volume.
