Product Overview
The Washtech XM is a slimline pass-through dishwasher built for commercial kitchens where space is tight but throughput still matters. At just 655mm wide it fits where a standard pass-through cannot, making it the right choice for narrow kitchen runs, compact venues and anywhere that needs the speed of a pass-through machine without the footprint of a full-size model.
Best for: Cafes, bars, restaurants and aged care facilities with narrow kitchen layouts that need pass-through speed and capacity in a compact format.
How the Washtech XM cleans
The XM uses an exclusive fan jet wash system delivering powerful spray coverage across the full 450mm rack. Racks pass through from one side to the other, allowing continuous loading during service without waiting between cycles. The sanitising rinse reaches 82°C and the 430mm wash chamber height handles large plates, bowls and serving dishes that undercounter machines cannot accommodate. AutoStart means the cycle begins automatically on hood closure, keeping service moving without any button pressing.

Simple to run, easy to repair
The XM uses the same PCB control boards as the XP and XU — one for timing and one for heating. Both are simple, proven components. If one ever needs replacing, parts cost around $250 each and can be swapped quickly by any service technician. Push-button start and AutoStart mean any staff member can operate it with zero training. All service connections are supplied externally for quick and easy installation with no commissioning required.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Washtech XM and the Washtech XP? The XM is the slimline version of the XP. It is 50mm narrower at 655mm wide and uses a 450mm rack instead of the XP's 500mm rack. The wash system is also different, using an exclusive fan jet system rather than traditional wash arms. If your kitchen can accommodate a full-size pass-through, the XP offers more capacity. If space is the priority, the XM delivers pass-through speed in a significantly smaller footprint.
Does the Washtech XM need an exhaust hood? No. The XM runs on the same single-phase power supply as the XP and does not require an exhaust hood in standard commercial kitchen installations. Contact Sean if you need further information for your specific installation.
What rack size does the Washtech XM use? The XM uses 450mm x 450mm racks, slightly smaller than the standard 500mm rack used by the XP and UD. This is what allows the slimmer overall footprint.
Can it be installed corner or inline? Both. The XM supports corner or inline installation, giving you flexibility in tight kitchen layouts.
Does the Washtech XM need three-phase power? No. The XM runs on standard single-phase 240V 15-amp power, suitable for most commercial kitchen installations without special electrical work.
Is the Washtech XM WaterMark certified? Yes. WaterMark certified and compliant with health regulations in all Australian states.
