Product Overview
The Washtech PW1 is a front-loading upright potwasher built for commercial kitchens that need a compact machine capable of washing pots, pans, bins, baking trays and bowls up to 80 litres. With a 750mm high wash chamber, 3 phase power and just 2.6 litres of water per cycle, the PW1 delivers heavy duty potwashing in a footprint of just 680mm wide. A hanging rail for whisks, ladles and other utensils makes it a practical all-in-one pot and utensil washing solution.
Best for: Commercial kitchens, cafes, aged care facilities and catering operations that need dedicated potwashing capability in a compact upright machine without the footprint of a wide body warewasher.
How the Washtech PW1 cleans
The PW1 uses a 1.5 kW wash pump recirculating water at 800 litres per minute through upper and lower stainless steel wash arms for thorough coverage of the full chamber. Triple cycle selection of 2, 4 and 6 minutes allows operators to match the cycle to the load. The rounded wash tank with double filtration and scrap and pump inlet filters keeps wash water clean throughout service, and the rinse booster elements ensure fast recovery between cycles. Every load is sanitised at high temperature to meet Australian hygiene regulations. A stainless steel support grid is fitted for bowls and a hanging rail accommodates whisks, ladles and other utensils.
The PW1 uses the same PCB control boards as the Washtech X series — simple, reliable and inexpensive to repair. For a full explanation of how Washtech controls work across the range, see our Washtech controls guide.

PW1C — condenser version
The PW1C is the condenser version of the PW1 at $19,990 plus GST. It features a built-in heat condenser that captures steam from the wash cycle, eliminating the need for a ventilation hood. This makes it suitable for installations where fitting an exhaust hood is not possible. Contact Sean to discuss the PW1C option for your venue.
PW1 vs PW2 — what is the difference?
The PW1 is a compact upright potwasher at 680mm wide with a 565mm wide wash chamber — suited to kitchens that need potwashing capability in a smaller footprint. The PW2 is a wide body machine at 1,235mm wide with a larger wash chamber that accommodates mixing bowls up to 100 litres and takes standard 500mm racks across its full width. If space is limited and pot volumes are moderate, the PW1 is the right choice. For high volume kitchens washing large batches of pots, bins and trays, the PW2 or PW3 will provide greater throughput.
