Product Overview
Washtech GM Commercial Glasswasher / Dishwasher
The Washtech GM is Australia's most popular undercounter glasswasher, engineered in New Zealand and trusted by thousands of bars, cafés, clubs and restaurants across the country. It is the only glasswasher on the Australian market certified to meet WaterMark standards and all state health regulations. Using just 2.2 litres of water per cycle with a sanitising rinse at 82°C, the GM delivers spotless, ready-to-serve glassware in 60, 120 or 180 seconds — and pays for itself in water and energy savings within the first year.
Best for: Pubs, wine bars, cafés, clubs, small restaurants and aged care facilities washing up to 1,000 glasses per hour.
How the Washtech GM cleans differently
Most glasswashers wash your glassware in the same water it started dirty — they just heat it up. The GM works differently. During the wash cycle, it drains the cold dirty water and replaces it continuously, so your glasses are always washed in the hottest, cleanest water available. The final rinse then sanitises at 82°C, well above the minimum required by Australian health codes.
This process — called Hot Rinse Retention — is why the GM consistently outperforms cheaper machines even after years of heavy use.

Why the GM is easy to keep clean
Active waste removal means the GM continuously drains dirty water during the cycle rather than letting it sit. There is no drain plug to lose or forget to fit. To clean: remove the basket filter, rinse it, replace it. That's it. The self-cleaning cycle handles the rest. Most venues running a GM find their end-of-night glasswasher clean takes under two minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Washtech GM be used as a dishwasher as well as a glasswasher? Yes. The GM handles both glassware and light crockery. It washes up to 1,000 glasses or 500 plates per hour, making it a versatile choice for small venues that need one machine to do both jobs.
Does the Washtech GM need a plumber to install? The GM connects to a standard 15 amp power outlet and a cold water inlet. Most installations can be handled by a licensed plumber in under an hour. No commissioning is required out of the box.
How much does it cost to run? At 2.2 litres per cycle, the GM uses significantly less water than most competitors. Combined with the preheated rinse water system, most venues see the GM pay for itself in water and energy savings within 12 months compared to older or non-recirculating machines.
Is the Washtech GM WaterMark certified? Yes. It is the only undercounter glasswasher on the Australian market certified to WaterMark standards and compliant with health regulations in all Australian states.
What rack size does the GM use? The GM suits any 435 mm × 435 mm rack, which is the standard size for most Australian bar and café glassware racks.
