Product Overview
The Washtech ROC is a reverse osmosis water purification system designed to work with the Washtech GM-R and UD-R polish-free glasswashers. It purifies cold mains water by removing dissolved minerals and impurities before the water is used in the final rinse cycle. Because the rinse water has no impurities, glasses dry completely clear with no spots or film — eliminating the need for polishing entirely.
Best for: Venues operating a Washtech GM-R or UD-R polish-free glasswasher that want spotless, ready-to-serve glassware with no polishing labour.
How the Washtech ROC works
Mains water first passes through a pre-filter that removes sediment and chlorine. The pre-filtered water is then forced under pressure through a high-performance BWT membrane module. The membrane only allows pure water molecules to pass through, leaving behind dissolved substances including limescale, gypsum, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulphate and chlorine. The resulting pure water is then pressurised by a 240V rotary pump and fed to the glasswasher for the rinse cycle.
The ROC includes a 14 litre buffer tank to handle periods of high demand — if the glasswasher requires more water than the unit can produce in real time, the tank provides additional reserve so throughput is not affected.

Frequently asked questions
What does the ROC actually do? It removes dissolved minerals and impurities from mains water using a reverse osmosis membrane. The purified water is then used for the final rinse in the glasswasher. Because the water has no impurities, glasses dry completely clear with no spots — so no polishing is needed.
Does the ROC work with any glasswasher? No. It is designed specifically for the Washtech GM-R and UD-R, which are built to connect to cold water and fitted with an assured rinse booster pump. Standard glasswashers connect to hot water and are not compatible.
What water pressure is required? Minimum 2 bar at a flow rate of 8 litres per minute from a cold mains water supply.
What power does the ROC need? A standard 10 amp power point.
How much water can the ROC produce? Up to 160 litres per hour, with a 14 litre buffer tank for peak demand periods.
